As it has turned into half of a web-dev thread, use IETester for your IE testing. IE5.5-8 all in one small, easy to use package.

I have to agree that IE8 doesn't fair really well. IE7 crashes sometimes but IE8 just takes the cake. I wanted tabbed browsing so i'm left with IE7 now. Didn't like FF much. Program starts even slower than the IEs, and watching streaming videos are just about the same.

All our customers are school districts. Small districts at that. We hold their hand through everything so they use the software we recommend.
We don't have much of a need for highly graphic interfaces so no SVG. We concentrate on efficiency so that we can host as many schools with minimum servers. Programming for government entities isn't exciting but it is stable.I’m not racists, I have republican friends. Radio show host.
