Re: PC For ArmA 2
Haha, wow that does make me nervous... like genuinely nervous. And can anyone explain just briefly on what a solid state drive actually is? I looked it up on wikipedia but it seems kinda like its just the same thing as a hard drive? Is this something that stays in your PC or just like a huge flashdrive?

Re: PC For ArmA 2
It is like a big flash drive, designed to stay in your computer and act as the main storage device. Sizes go from less than 64GB to over 512GB and prices are still a bit high but coming down quickly. The main advantage of SSDs are the great performance increase over mechanical HDDs. Personally since I'm on a bit of a different upgrade window I'll be holding out for a bit longer, especially since I want to see some 32nm quads and GT300 chips come out before a storage upgrade that is going to cost about the same.

@Reaper,
You and me both man. The news on the 32nm are just leaking out. I'm thinking a CPU upgrade will be in order once the 32 quads hit.

Re: PC For ArmA 2
Yeah as tasty as Lynnfield looks I'm not sure how much of a difference the i5 - 750 will make compared to my E6750 @ 3.4 especially in games. I got stuck on the tail end of 65nm my first time around and would rather wait a bit longer since 32nm parts are coming out a little ahead of schedule while looking good. As for the GT300 hopefully everything will go smoothly enough that they will compete time frame wise against the 58XX series cards and get some price drops early instead of paying $500 for top of the line and seeing it go to $300 in a few weeks.
