    Interesting news, and it looks to be true:

    Remember this wasn't supposed to be out till Sept. I don't have time to look and see if they have any motherboards for sell yet.

    ??? I though you could find i7's for $229.00. Doesn't seem that great a deal.

    Usually the i7-920 model runs about $280, and it is about to be discontinued most reports say.
    This is a new mainstream socket, and needs a motherboard with the p55 chipset, while the i7 uses the x58 chipset.

    Not sure what you mean.
    I actually didn't mean the i7 is being discontinued, just the cheapest 920 model. The i7 is going to be around for a long while, and if you are hoping to go with one of the new 6 core or late next year 8 core cpu's, that is going to be the only way to go. You also can't get triple channel ram with the i5, just the i7.

    The 950 is staying and I don't believe the price sheets had a price drop listed any time soon.

    I believe so, if you go one there website it doesnt show up. But If you add a product to your cart then select a store to pick up, then look for the 920 it shows up then for $199.99
