Re: Motorola Droid - A855- Android powered competitor to iPhone?

Yeah that is what I am really looking forward to, having a lot of customization and better apps. I just hope someone fixes the camera being a bit sad soon.

Yeah, what he said !

Honestly, this thing is too sweet to even comprehend at the moment. It's true capabilities will be seen once I start using the open source apps.

BTW, Google GPS Navigation>Normal GPS

Ditto..Picked mine up today..! The only realy issue I have is that I got the Body Glove HARD case..which I LOVE..but it doesn't let the unit fit in the Multimedia Dock I bought.. So the dock goes back... oh well..

But it does have a learning curve...

Little bit of a learning curve yes, but that comes with the phone. It's made for "Users", more so than the average teenage schoolgirl. I have to say, many of the apps are REALLY cool. Can't wait to see where the "Droid" journey will take me

Re: Motorola Droid - A855- Android powered competitor to iPhone?

My wife bought me one for my birthday. This device is simply awesome. There are definitely focusing problems with the camera but that is the only thing I have found that doesn't meet or exceed my expectations. There is supposed to be a patch after Thanksgiving that supposedly fixes the camera problem.

I keep finding little things that make me think "Holy crap that's cool". For example. My wife sent me a phone # in a text message and it showed up as a link. I touched the link and it launched the phone app with the phone number in it. I simply pressed send and it dialed the number. It's the things like that that make the device shine.
