Re: Motorola Droid - A855- Android powered competitor to iPhone?
Yes, all you new android converts should start paying attention to the following websites:
http://androidandme.com/
http://phandroid.com
http://www.androidguys.com/
Also, when I get wind that the droid has been successfully rooted (root was achieved on both the Hero and Cliq yesterday, oh the modding goodness begins), I'll let you know.

By the way, to those of us who dont have the Droid, Google Maps with Navigation has been successfully ripped out of the Droid framework and can now be installed on any rooted G1/MyTouch/Hero/Cliq/Eris.

Mine will be here tomorrow. Got to love Verizon and the insurance on phones. After much debate with them I got my Droid for 50.00 as a replacement for my 6800. SWEET. Looking forward to it. Five of my co-workers have it and have nothing bad at all to say about it.

Thas awesome Bubba, I have no doubt you're going to like it.
And its official boys and girls, the miraculous hack and slash team at XDA can now make your G1 do everything a Droid can do (with the exception of not having a 5MP flash camera...im speaking strictly software here).
Heres the screencap of the "About Phone" menu from my G1.

Re: Motorola Droid - A855- Android powered competitor to iPhone?
After having the Droid for a couple of days I see one thing that I need, a good media player. Anyone have any good ideas on which one I should look for?
Thanks.
