Re: Motorola Droid - A855- Android powered competitor to iPhone?
I install Pandora also. Just still looking for a good video/media player.

I use Pandora as well....
As far as music players go, I am sure if you do a google search you can find some reviews.|TG-X|Turkish

I have a few albums on my SD card and use MixZig Lite to play music. I like it a lot and there is also a pay version of it but didn't think it was worth it.

The mouse-over for the xkcd comic reads, "It may be a fundamentally empty experience, but holy crap the Droid's 265 ppi screen is amazing."

Re: Motorola Droid - A855- Android powered competitor to iPhone?
Is anyone else having issues trying to text message people and/or receive text messages? I've had a few people say they have texted me but I haven't gotten a single one yet.

Issue is now resolved, I guess its too much to ask that they leave text messaging enabled when I sign up for a text messaging plan.Last edited by Reaperassault; 11-19-2009 at 12:45 PM.

Re: Motorola Droid - A855- Android powered competitor to iPhone?
Adobe Flash for the Droid will not be avaiable until first half of 2010. Anyone know of a good program in the interim?

There isnt one bubba. Flash is available to a limited degree on hero ROMs, but nothing for the droid as of yet.

Re: Motorola Droid - A855- Android powered competitor to iPhone?
sweetness... installed the 2.0.1 update and have root access.
So far, here's what I've customized:
Using Home++ as alternate home. Love the minimalist design with the hidden notification bar and quick-access bar along the bottom. It also has more pages if needed - I'm using four at the moment:
LEFT: Photo, Audio, and Navigation

HOME:Status and most frequently used apps

RIGHT: most used contacts

BACK: (the four screens loop with Home++, so I think of this page as the 'back' of the square) System Utilities

(you'll notice I like the new 'picture frame' widget from 2.0.1 .. having four screens fits our family perfectly
)
With root access, I've also gone in and removed (renamed so they won't show up) several unused apps (AmazonMP3, VoiceDialer, etc). I've also disabled the camera's shutter sound by renaming the .ogg file associated with it... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Last thing I did was to install the "drocap" application. This lets you take screenshots of what's on your phone!
