Overclocking Phenom 9950BE to 3.0GHz
Ok, I have an AMD Phenom 9950BE at 2.6GHz stock. Currently, I have the temperatures running roughly at 38c-43c(Idle) and 48c-55c(Max). I have got my case pulled out from my desk and my 2 case fans above, and next to the CPU on high. I am getting a new heatsink because I am still using the stock heatsink that came with it. When I get the new heatsink, I am hoping to have temps of about 15c-30c(Idle) and 30c-43c(Max). Once I get my new heatsink, I want to overclock to 3.0GHz. Is there any program to use to overclock it? I know you can do it in AMD Overdrive, but people say the BIOS is the best and most stable way to do it. What should I have my other settings, like voltage, on if I plan to up the GHz to 3.0?
Thanks.
