Universal phone charger
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/8323018.stm
A new mobile phone charger that will work with any handset has been approved by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), a United Nations body.
Industry body the GSMA predicts that 51,000 tonnes of redundant chargers are generated each year.I'm looking forward to adoption of this. It would be nice if every little device needing a wall wart could use the same one, perhaps differing only in current capacity but sharing a common voltage and connector. The charger has a micro-USB port at the connecting end, using similar technology to digital cameras.Dude, seriously, WHAT handkerchief?
