possible psu failure?
So my house mate guy's computer has just randomly turned off. and now refuses to start or power up.
could this be a psu failure?

Does anything happen when the power button is pressed? (fans spin, lights turn on, beeping)

Try switching another PSU in to determine if its the issue.

Could be PSU, breaker, or a dust bunny short somewhere inside. Before doing anything else, open the case and give it a good air-duster cleaning.
