Just did a new build and upgraded to Win 7. In the old system I would typically have DVI connection to my main monitor and an HDMI out to my lcd tv that I sometimes use as a monitor.
I've repeated this set up with my new build but have encountered something I can't seem to figure out that has to do with start up
When I boot up the system if both cords are plugged in all the post info is sent to the bigscreen tv and the computer monitor doesn't receive a signal until after the boot up/post process is complete. I want the post up info to appear on the computer monitor at all times. in the nvidia control panel I even disabled the second monitor (tv) but still the post up process is sent to the second monitor and the computer monitor stays blank until postiing is complete. I fiddled with all the nvidia settings (same image on both, extend deskstop, etc) but the only way I've been able to get the machine to post on the computer monitor is to unplug the dvi cable going to the second monitor.
This is only a nuisance to be sure as simply switching plugging the cable in when I want to use the big screen is easy enough but I'd much rather duplicate my previous set up.
Thoughts--did I explain it clearly enough. The machine is running fine. Great in fact and I have a feeling I'm just missing a simple toggle somewhere but I can't figure it out so far.
Thoughts...ideas?
Thanks

I would post pretty much the same thing you did above over in the Nvidia forums and the EVGA forum. You might even be able to find an answer just by searching there. Both are good.
I have had the same issue ever since I went Dual Monitor, could not find a fix, it seems to send my post info to the small, secondary one no matter what I try, but then boots onto the main one.....go figure!
