As long as Sprint brings it to market soon I'll be upgrading. I dropped my evo this morning and in addition to scratching the screen the battery cover is in a constant state of nearly popping off. I'll just cry myself to sleep if I pick up the Nexus and they announce the Samsung Galaxy S3.

If your waiting for the G S3 announcement, you will be waiting till the Mobile conference in Feb. From what I have been able to find that is when they are going to announce the actual specs and release dates on that phone.

I just picked up the Galaxy Nexus yesterday after using Blackberry for years. Words do not describe the joy I have when using a phone now! I miss the simplicity of BB, but I am putting that down to learning the Android OS. With less than 24hrs with this phone, I would still recommend it for your next purchase if you are looking to upgrade and want Android.

+1 for the Galaxy Nexus, best phone I have owned and that includes BB and the last 3 years of iPhone. I have the G Nexus on a 12 month contract so could probably get the S3 pretty early on, but would rather wait for the NEW Nexus in December!

Is this Galaxy Nexus supposed to be better than the Samsung Galaxy S2. I have the latter and it is by far my favourite phone to date. Looking at the Samsung Galaxy Note next.

They are nearly the same with some slight differences. The SGS2 has a better camera and smaller screen. The Nexus has a larger screen, and native ICS but a fairly weak camera.

Screen wise they are nearly the same save for size. I've seen both and both look amazing. Samsung really knows what they are doing with LED panels. It makes the screen on my evo look like a 60's TV set.

Nearly the same and completely different at the same time. My nephew has the Galaxy II, next to the Nexus it just feels, well old. Now to save every one some time here is a comparison of some of the phones (first chart that I found):

The largest improvement is ICS and no overlay (Motoblur etc.). I first tried ICS on a Nexus S, that phone is a year old and felt like it was brand new. After seeing that it was a no-brainer for me as to which phone would be the one. The hardest part for me was giving up the BB. Never knew I would get so attached to a phone.

All in all there is always something new around the corner, I have gotten tired of waiting for the next best thing and will settle for whats available now. There is always next year to upgrade again!
