lol. I am not convinced it is worth it. I almost bought one, but meh. I don't mind if it takes a while to load game levels. It gives me an excuse to pour another drink while I am waiting. I am used to not having one. I suspect I will add one eventually.

its not worth it if load times dont bother u at all.
For the longest time i said the same thing...until I bought one. I honestly cant believe the huge diference. If you're droping a grand into a new PC spend the 85 bucks and buy a 120gig ocz vertex 3 ssd or two. Itll totally be worth it

I have an ssd. But if I wanted to save money I wouldnt have bought it and it wouldnt bother me not having it. It was a case of I could and I did. If i didnt have the money it wouldnt have mattered. It's a case of "want" versus "need".
I think in terms of sc1ence's needs, no he does not need one. However in reality I think everyone deserves an SSD, I mean for me it's like what I've been waiting for since I was loading 3.5" floppies to play Putt Putt Saves the Zoo. The only disadvantage that I can think of is cost at the moment. Advantages include fast boot times, efficient, no audible noise, highly reliable as a boot drive, no need to defrag (with trim),and games that stream content are super fast.
All new gaming enthusiast systems should include an SSD. They are cheap enough and provide excellent performance as boot drives coupled with main storage on a 1TB hard drive. Its a mistake not to include one on a new build these days.
While that remains true, it just seems kinda...weird to spend that kind of money on a build and cheap out on the last 80-100 bucks. Ive only had my PC running on my new build for like 3 days and I already want another SSD, im that impressed by it.

I keep adding SSD after SSD into my rig (then again, it's almost $3000), and I can't get enough of them. I see small differences on higher graphic games. They're well worth it.
It is not often that I encounter across myself when researching a topic. I found the following in a recent article on the uses of ethnography in virtual environments:

Took a gamble and got a refurbished 30 GB OCZ Vertex 1 off of NewEgg for the low, low price of $30. Had some trouble getting the drive to be recognized by Windows or by my BIOS. Had to use a jumper...
It has been almost 6 months now and I am still waiting for the second peer-review report to come in for my next book (this one is on the future of television).
Things usually unfold faster than...
