ati catalyst control center problems
Ok, i just finished my new computer and i installed all the drivers, windows updates, etc etc however when i try to run the ATI Catalyst Control Center it gives me this warning...
if i click ok, the msg comes up again and i have to click ok again and then it goes away.CLI.exe - Application Error
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). click on ok to terminate toe application.
I got the drivers form the ati.com site. what should i do? is it worth fixing?

Re: ati catalyst control center problems
I'd say uninstall the drivers and control center then install them again. If you can't get into the control center, you won't be able to set stuff like anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering.

Google is king.
As for the sound card, make sure you're plugged into the right output and your headphones aren't damaged.

Good find Fenix. Now I just need to figure out why the control center insists on going out to the internet.. I hate that.

Re: ati catalyst control center problems
The Simple Antialiasing and Anisotropic Guide
That should explain everything about AA and AF including examples of the differences.

Re: ati catalyst control center problems
I found the CCC to be absolute crap, took my system 5x longer to boot.
I use Omega's drivers exclusively, they've worked much better for me than anything of ATI's I've used. Radlinker also supplies all the setting options without, as Overlag said, "the bloat".

Re: ati catalyst control center problems
idk my fps with the omega drivers (4.12 betas) was about 10-15 less than the official 4.11s also the image quality was bad.........Heavily disappointed.
