Re: TV on your computer...
Your video card needs to support video in (like a VIVO or All In Wonder) or you'll need to add a card (TV Tuner or video capture card) in order to do this.

Re: TV on your computer...
I use a Hauppauge card and love it. Most TV Tuner cards come with software that lets you watch TV (or PS2). If you don't have any software, check the website of your card maker. I'm sure they would have application downloads. These are usually free.

I highly recommend Beyond TV. You can find it at www.snapstream.com.

Re: TV on your computer...
go to www.newegg.com, look under video add-ons, and get the cheapest one with the intervideo windvr suite.... 35 bucks.

Re: TV on your computer...
Ati tv tuner cards are crap. The drivers for them made my computer unstable. Even the new ones failed to work. I use a tv tuner made by avermedia right now.

if your watching tv, you probably aren't doing anything else massive other than recording. cpu cycles are not a big deal compared to the difference in 35 bucks and 150 bucks... not worth the extra $$$ and the windvr suite is the best I have found. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...144-306&depa=0

Re: TV on your computer...
my video card is an ati mobility radeon 9000 IGP...and since it has a plug for an external adapter for my ps2, i "assume" that it is okay to do so.
i only want to have my ps2 in my laptop, that's all, i don't need "cable tv" or things like that. only the ability to play my ps2 on it. |

Re: TV on your computer...
There are TV Tuner USB boxes, but I'm not as familiar with them. Check out www.hauppauge.com ... not sure if they have any though.
