Need help with Trillian.

I've just downloaded and installed the latest version. I just want to know how to configure it so that messages I receive when I'm away or while I'm gaming will stay someplace obvious. I know I received the messages, as they're available via logfiles, but I want them to be in their normal window on my desktop somewhere so that I notice them!

go to trillian preference > message windows > check "group message windows together according to contact list groups"...

I've already done that. That doesn't keep a message window up...

When someone does send you a message, what does Trillian .. do?

Does it just not show the message? I'm a little confused.

I have my Trillian settings to pretty much default and it opens messages I get while I'm away in one window. It stays there too until I close it.

Well, whenever I've been there to receive the message (websurfing, checking email, etc...) a chat window pops up. When I'm playing CS, I have no idea what it does. I hear the IM sounds, but when I close CS to look, there are no windows open.

Nope, nothing but a new entry in my message log.

I just unchecked the "group message windows" and the "show messages minimized in taskbar" options. We'll see if that does the trick.

If that doesn't work...

Is it pro or basic?

If it's pro (not sure if settings are same for basic) go to:

preferences>message windows> and make sure that "Close the window automatically after untouched for 30 minutes" box is unchecked
