Which graphics?

I need a new card and on scouring the net have found a couple of options in my price range.

The Geforce 6600GT 128MB PCI-E
The ATI X700XT 128MB PCI-E

Which would you recommend?

I don't think you'll go wrong with either. I myself would choose the 6600GT but that's just my opinion. You know what opinions are like...and everyone has one.

But really, does your motherboard support pci express? What kind of graphics card are you upgrading from? What kind of motherboard do you have? How fast is your processor? How much memory?

Ya i almost thought i had PCI-E, but it was jsut regular PCI, man what a dope i was...

Course I have PCI-E

I have A8N SLI nforce4 board with a A64 3200+ & 1GB of Corsair

From the few benchmarks I have seen today it looks the 6600GT might be a better card.

The ATi Radeon RX800 256MB (PRO-TD256E) PCI-Express, has dropped a couple bucks lately. You may want to look into that one.
I grabbed one and am pleased with it so far.
