sound card...but no cd
my computer has a built in sound..but ever since i reformatted my computer using only the winxp cd rom, i could never get sound out of my computer. is there like a site where i could download the driver?

yes,
If you have a dell or something like that you can get a driver from the website of the computer manufacturer. or If you have a homemade computer you can try the website of the motherboard manufacturer. Either way you need to know the model# of the computer(first option) or motherboard(second option). |

Did the MoBo come with a disk? If so it should have drivers on it. If you dont' know what Mobo you have or any info there are free tools out there that will detect it. do a google search should be easy to find.

Open the Case, look at the mobo and post info here
ie. ASUS "A8N-SLI Deluxe" ver 1.0 This way they can help you better and maybe even give you a link.
