Shadow...you just built my computer.

Your 2.8C WILL go easily to 3.5 / 3.6 Ghz with a good cooler, I suggest the Alpha PAL for socket 478.

Up the Vcore voltage to around 1.6v

Up vdimm to 2.85v

In bios run a 5:4 ( setting is 320 for mem to get 5:4 ) divider on your memory...then crank the timings down to 2,3,2,5,4...then turn up your FSB to 260 / 265.

If you tune it right...a 24 / 26k 3dmark 2001 SE score should be within reason.

If you need setup advice, PM me...I'd be glad to help.

nope, AMD's SOI proccess makes them the coolest high performing proccessors today.

the last "heat issues" AMD had was with the Tbird 1400ghz back in 1999

Yep.. It's a nice shiny laquered finish on the case cover, anodized aluminum on the front.

EXCELLENT choice on the monitor, Cobra..

On the processor I would go Retail instead of OEM. It is only 3 dollars more and better warranty

Video Card is not in wish list

Everything else looks good, The case is a little tacky but if that is your taste then no harm in personal use. LOL
