Random initialize failure
Dunno why but every now and then my Pc fails to load on first switch on, the monitor light just flashes and nothing happens. I reset it and everything is fine, but why doesn't it start up first time?

LOL!!! Just kiddin' !!!
Nah...I used to have the EXACT same issue with my PIII 1.2 Ghz system...everything was perfect...but sometimes it simply failed to initialize. It usually happens when it's been shut down for awhile right???
I think it's just cold components...needign to warm up. If you're seeing no adverse effects, don't sweat it.

smelled like poop
Baby poop that is ..the worst kind
Random hardware problems are a bugger to track down.
Have you looked in the log files for startup? Event viewer?

I think he means it aborts the boot. In that case event viewer wouldn't even know what happened because shell32.dll hasnt even been loaded yet.

Now it has been a little chilly recently, that's probably it.
