How about some advise on OCing my 9800 XT

LOL! I trust you. I have never overclocked before this (Obviously). I know you know your shiznit.

i never bother to overclock gfx cards when running normal stuff realy...just for the quick benchmark. The last card i overclocked 24/7 was an Voodooo 3 2000 (143mhz) to Voodoo 3 3000 (167mhz) levels

With an ATi...you can clock at least 25% over all the time....They build good stuff !

my card crashes at default without a 80mm fan blowing on it......and burns my hand so im not overclocking till i get some ram sinks and put my watercooler back on.......

Guide:

Use Powerstrip...follow readme instructions....increase core speed by 5%. Once you get flaws in 3dmark...back off 10%.

Now...do the same for memory.

Trust me on this one..Powerstrip is far better than ANY of the other proggies, as it reads the BIOS on the card and adjusts latencies, etc. Other proggies don't do this and run a higher risk of vidcard death.
