its hard to say really IBM clicking noises often ment the head was ON the disk surface, and had totaly removed the data holding "dust". Data recovery services cant help with this!

However it could also mean the Controler/PCB on the HDD is messed up, and the rest of the drive is fine. so the disks maybe fine in there its just the PCB that needs fixing. Thats where data recoverly service may help. In this case ive even heard of people buying a second HDD of the same make/model, taking the PCB off and FIXING the HDD allowing the data to be saved. But thats VERY extreme and hard work lol
