Re: Connection Error.

Let me preface this with the fact I haven't had any problems prior to yesterday.

started encountering this problem while playing on the private server last night. Haven't played since then until a few minutes ago, where I was playing on server #2. Got the 'connection problem' message 3 times and then just now I lost my connection to the server.

I'll sacrifice my playing ethic for a few minutes to try a couple of other random servers and post my findings.

Re: Connection Error.

Well, I encountered a few problems on a couple of other public servers, although not near as frequently as on the TG servers. So, the problem may be on my side and maybe it's more pronounced on the TG servers because of route I have to take to get to them. I usually have an excellent ping on the TG servers since I'm in KC and the servers are in Dallas.

Re: Connection Error.

Connected Internet Provider...they say there is nothing wrong on their end.

Did an experiment and played some CS:S....had connection problems there as well; this has NEVER happened before. It was like lag, but my ping remained low.

WTH? any help...Anyone?

Re: Connection Error.

Might be un-related, but I have an audigy sound card and always experienced massive stuttering during the first 5 minutes of joining any map. Never associated with my sound card to be honest.

However, after updating my Creative drivers yesterday, no more stuttering. And I didn't get disconnected last night.

Might just be a wierd coincidence, but any little bit helps IMO.

I tested my cable and the connection speed is good. (so that's not it)

it's more like i sporadically "lose" connection for 5-10 sec.

i'll update those drivers Nem...can't hurt. (thanks for the suggestion)

Re: Connection Error.

Okay. This is driving me nuts. I rebuilt and reinstalled per Tweakguides. The rig is running better than ever with all things except BF2.

Every few minutes I get the "there is an error with your connection" pause. Sometimes it kicks back in others it disconnects altogether. I have updated PB manually.

I ran the UOTrace per EA's tech page. I would appreciate any feedback on interpreting the results. Additionally, if someone who isn't having this problem we be kind enough to run the trace and let us know how yours compares, that would be great.

I'm at a loss. This didn't start happening until I installed the 2nd patch. I have installed, reinstalled, and reinstalled again to no avail. It happens on all servers now.

I couldn't get the results to format correctly so I'm trying to attach a txt file.

Re: Connection Error.

I'm not good at interpreting results like that. Is that 100% loss normal? In any event, I have it as well.

Re: Connection Error.

Yeah, that's what I was wondering about. That and the pings over 200. I still don't know.

Re: Connection Error.

Unless someone has some good info about the ping info above, my guess would be that it's a game problem. I still have it periodically, but I had it much worse before the patch. And if it's happening on all servers...

Re: Connection Error.

I agree its the game or something with our networking. Dirt, check the Wireless Zero Configuration service...I read on Planet Battlefield that it can cause this. I disabled mine and it helped but did not resolve the issue.
