www.dabs.com/uk
www.scan.co.uk
www.wehavethings.co.uk
www.pcnextday.co.uk

they probably won't stock particularly specialist gear, but have a good range between them.

Re: Best place to buy hardware online? (uk)

Have a chat to a fella named Norm who resides on the dMw forums (link in sig). He runs his own business called X-tremePC (www.x-tremepc.biz) and making custom PCs for people. He usually comes in cheaper for me than the people listed above.

He doesn't deal in 'crap', so if you want cheapest RAM then go buy it elsewhere, but i fyou want the cheapeast price on *quality* RAM then I usually find he is the best. Send a PM to him via our forums if you want. Feedback from satisfied members can be found here.

If you're buying now then he is also doing a pre-LAN deal for us prior to our 8th LAN party - the deal is pretty much 'tell himwhat you want and he'll get you a good price'. Migth be worth a look at the thread here.

Btw, I have no link with the business.

HTH.

TL.

I second TL on this 1. I'm a bit 0f a n00b with computerstuff and he helped me out with some pointers on which my rig needed improvement. After that he made me a nice deal on memory. Good stuff for a good price.
Same as TL, I have no link with the business.

I have no link with the business, either, but if TeaLeaf and the rest of dMw think he's alright, then he's alright!

dont ever try and contact the company, as theres almost no way of doing so. My last two orders, they took money out, and didnt send me any goods... After a week of phoning them, i gave up and had to get my credit card company to reject payment.

Never again will i deal with them, they was great between 1999-2003 but its all gone down hill

i mainly use

www.scan.co.uk
www.lowestonweb.com
www.cclcomputers.com
