Hard Drive question

My wife's HD upped and died. Her Comp is old so she does not need a sata, but how do i know whether to get a ata100 or 133? Does it matter? Thanks for your help.

Re: Hard Drive question

Either will be fine. If her comp is really old then you might have a size limit of 137GB.

Re: Hard Drive question

1. You may want to go ahead and buy ATA133 even if your current PC doesn't support it. The cost difference is negligable and if you do upgrade, you have the faster drive.

2. Most larger drives come with software you can load so your PC can recognize the full drive size.
