RSS feeds
OK, I'm trying to replace my current homepage (Excite!) with Google. The problem is that Google doesn't have a module for sports scores (quite an oversight, IMO...). Google doesn't have one for video or DVD releases, and their movies releases module sucks.
But I can add as many RSS modules as I want. So, do any of you know where I can find feeds that have current sports scores (not news stories), new movie releases (or top ten box office movies), and maybe DVD releases?
I'm also looking for other interesting RSS feeds. I'm not looking for anything too in depth. I read the top news stories, but I don't have time to read much else. On a daily basis I want to skim the sports scores of various teams, look at the weather forecast, read the word of the day and the quote of the day and look at the headlines for interesting news items. On a weekly basis, I want to see what movies are playing, what's coming out on DVD and maybe browse the week's editorial cartoons... If you think you know of an RSS feed that might fit around the edges of my homepage, feel free to suggest it!

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

Of all people (well, besides you...), I definitely don't need that one.

Re: RSS feeds
Is there anything here that will work? Sorry, I couldn't parse the list for scores.

Re: RSS feeds
You've probably seen some of the same posts I have while Googling for RSS feeds of sports scores. People were saying that the sites use the scores to bring in visitors and how they won't give em away for "free" in RSS feeds because of how much they pay or something. I looked at several sports sites, even a sports book I think, and couldn't find any.

Re: RSS feeds
For the new http://www.google.com/ig you can make your own homepage with all of the RSS stuff. You probably already knew this, but you can click on more options in the upper left corner to bring up a side pannel. Browse away with all of the wierd options they give you.

Umm, thanks, but that's what this entire thread is about. Did you even read it?
