New Mobo and CPU

Well it seems to be that time of the year. Since i'm upgrading my mobo, i'm going socket 939.

I've got a price right now for an Asus A8V K8T800 Pro
and AMD 64 3000 90nm Venice core
219.00 Decent deal or should i look elsewhere? that's from monarchcomputer.com

I really wanted an Nforce chipset but i'm not sure about buying Nforce 4 with agp, does it exist and who makes it? My constraints are AGP, i have a brand new FX 5700 so i'm not buying a new vid card for PCI-E.

Re: New Mobo and CPU

They do not make Nforce4 AGP Motherboards.

Dunno anything about that chipset, but the mobo mfg is pretty good. that price sounds about right. Newegg has that for about $210, so I'd say if it's all retail and brand new that's about as good as you'll be able to buy it for.

Re: New Mobo and CPU

Well i guess via is taking over the agp market. I found this page for sorting out AMD cpu's.
