Re: Never again will i build a computer

Its an MSI PM8M2-V Socket 775.

I dont know if its strange, i do know that its not that uncommon here in sweden.

It strikes me now, that i should probably check with msi themselves as well.

Absolutely, at this point, I wouldn't deal with the retailer at all. Go straight to MSI and tell them where you bought their product and that your retailer has been hassling you about honoring the warranty.

Re: Never again will i build a computer

yeah I totally agree with Cing. They have sold you a product that does not work, and thus at the very least you should be entitled to swap it. I can understand them refusing a refund, and a lot of stores offer credit in return as an exchange, but if all you want is the same bit of kit that works you should not have to pay for anything.

If the manufacturer does not help then look at your equivalent to Trading Standards to get advice. I don't know what the law is in Sweden, but in the UK they would definitely be breaking the law.

MSI will help you out, you may have to pay to ship it to them but they won't charge you to ship a mobo back to you, if it's faulty.

Re: Never again will i build a computer

I managed to get money back from the place i bought it after i bitched on the phone.

I'll just get another mobo somewhere else and hope that will work.
