Custom Resolution for LCD TV

Does anyone have any experience with creating a custom resolution for an widescreen monitor? Just got a 32" LCD TV, and actually BF2 looks great on it. But the desktop and other apps are a little stretched (Resolution is set at 1024x768, but the monitor's native res is 1366x768). There's a 9800 XT in the box.

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

edit your shortcut to look like this:

"C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe\" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1366 +szy 768

If you're not on the C drive, substitute whatever your drive is. Works like a charm and you'll be in widescreen heaven

Copy that exact! Pay attention to the spaces and "" .

You should be able to set your resolution in the display preferences correctly. If the 1366x768 does not show up there, try to find (google for) the 'monitor driver', which is basically just the .INF file that describes the capabilities of the monitor. Then go to the display properties/settings/advanced/monitor

Widescreen would be great for more periperal vision to spot things coming in from the side. Report if it works pls.
