New gamepad, how to work some stuff in bf2?

Hey guys, Althought i lag intensly on battlefield 2, i still intend on playing the brilliant game, I just baught a new gamepad it had x(1) Square(2) Circle(3) Triangle(4) L1(5) L2(6) R1(7) R2(8) And 2 back triggers. Now i've set all my stuff for bf2, but i cant figure out how to move the crosshair, tank turrent e.t.c using the analog controls, i can walk sideways forwards control planes e.t.c but not the weopens, i can fire them just not turn them, Please tell me how to set this ( my controller has a mapping feature) Thanks.
