Article on CPU influence on game framerate

Found this article (http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu...u-games_3.html - the link button does not work any more) that compares CPUs performances on various games. I.e. Don't buy Intel!

192fps for the weakest cpu? Are they sure they didn't test Q3? lol It you told me the best cpu on the market got 192fps at 640x480 in BF2 I would be surprised. Those numbers just seem crazy although the order and distribution seems as one would expect.

They benched BF2 at 1024x768 but using recorded demos. I find that viewing demos or playing SP is less stressing on the system than actually playing online. I guess that really shows how much is going on in a MP game.
