Video editor app?
So - what do you a/v guys recommend for editing video?
I want to be able to- edit the avi (not have to convert to wmv so I can use in windows movie maker)
- insert and delete video clips, with simple transition effects
- "draw" on the video - like arrows, circling objects on-screen, highlighting parts of the video, etc.
- add additional soundtrack. If there's already sound, I want to be able to add additional sound
- get it for free.

I don't quite understand this one. Everytime I use WMM, it saves it as wmv. And you can use WMM to edit wmv movies.

Re: Video editor app?
Fraps -> avi
WMM import the avi
- won't edit in storyboard as an avi -
WMM convert to WMV
- edit -
WMM save as avi (I read that it can do that)
That's two conversions: avi -> wmv -> avi
I'd rather avoid that.
I certainly don't want to leave it as an avi. I want to divx-compress it."You live and learn. Or you don't live long."

Re: Video editor app?
I use pinnacle studio version 10, i dont think there is a free video editor out there that can do all the stuff you want. I used to use version 7 which was just as good , but couldnt auth DVDs. Just drop 20 bucks on studio version 7, is my opinion.
