to this line:
Code:
var base64_wow = 'xyz';
where 'base64_wow' is the variable associated with your forum of choice later in the script and 'xyz' is the string you get when you 'Convert the source data' of your image of choice ( ) to base64 (perhaps using a free Online base64 encoder).
And you're finished. Reload the script (one way is to restart Firefox) and you'll see the new image.
It sounds intimidating until you do it once or twice, at which point it's rare that you'll run into problems.
I've updated the script, linked in the first post, to include this new image (which I modified to have a transparent background). Many thanks, Cing.

Re: Search Results Legend
Many thanks to WhiskeySix for sending me an icon for Falcon 4, which I've now included in the original post's download.
These icons are really small, but it's a small fighter jet. It definitely beats the "ICON NEEDED" message. Again.. many thanks!

Re: Search Results Legend
I'm not sure if this is better than nothing or not for the admin forums:
You can't really tell that it's a hammer anymore...
Here's the source if anyone else wants to take a shot at it:
How about if it was 20 pixels tall?
Bah, I give up. I couldn't figure out what the label is for the admin forum, within the script, anyway...

Re: Search Results Legend
The hammer is now the default image for any admin forum whose related title/game doesn't have its own icon.
See first post for download.

Hmm, the hammer isn't displaying for the Officer's Forum or Content Dev Forum.
And, when I did a search for "forum ban request", a script hid every result from being displayed. I'm not sure which script did it, though. When I searched for "forum request", the results displayed properly.
No biggie, though...

Re: Search Results Legend
I had One Line Results hide everything like that on me earlier today. My suspect at the moment is deleted threads in the search results, or something else that similarly changes the column count in a search result's row. Should be easy enough to fix, but I need it to happen just a bit more often to justify my fixing it.
Forums have hierarchies. This one's is:
Tactical Gamer > General Forums > Hardware & Software Discussion
PM me the hierarchy for the forum(s) which don't have the hammer icon and should. I probably just guessed wrong (from memory) in the script.

I can't figure out how to determine which forum is which in the script. Can you break that part of the script down Barney-style for me?
Some of them are obvious, but others, like the Admin forums, were stumping me...

Re: Search Results Legend
Yeah.. I looked at the script, and I don't understand why it's not displaying the hammer icon for the admin forums.
Basically, the script matches on HTML which is included in the table cell that displays the forum name. For most forums, that just means I specify the high-level name of the forum ("Counter-Strike", "Natural Selection", "Armed Assault"... whatever).
For the admin forum, I had to include one HTML character before that (">") to make sure the word "Administration" only matched on forums whose names STARTED with "Administration"... so... the "match" phrase for the admin forums is ">Administration - ".
I don't think I answered your question though. What else can I explain?

Re: Search Results Legend
The hammer is displaying for me.
Perhaps I need to look at the script again. I was looking for something that looked like var base64_officerforum = 'xyz'; as the only thing I had to go by was your description of var base64_wow = 'xyz'. Perhaps I overlooked some painfully obvious clues as to how to determine what the X's mean in the script: var base64_XXXX = 'xyz';
Umm, yeah. So, I just opened the script up in my browser (instead of Notepad) and looked at it again, and it's all nice and neatly arranged now. So much so, I believe, that my question is unnecessary.
Does the script autmatically assign the "no icon" icon to anything not specifically named in the script?

Re: Search Results Legend
Yes, and....
I see now what you were saying about the
var base64_XXXX = 'xyz';
XXXX is created by me, on a whim, and then I manually associate that variable with the pattern match I define later in the script.
