Yes they may offer PCIE 1x as well.

its a beta/alpha card id guess, but basicaly they flip it, it has no back plate (the bit you screw into the case). One side has the PCIexpress connector, the other a PCI connector Originally Posted by TychoCelchuuu

Well, if it doesn't have a back plate, wouldn't that let all sorts of dust and stuff into your case? Or would you put the back plate on once you've seated the card?
