Dream PC? Just maybe... (Unoffical Dream PC game)

With summer coming along really soon, some people might be getting summer jobs or just want something to drool over. Well, this is the place some of your Dream PC's may lie, just post some spec's and a brief discription on your PC.

The rules:
Build a PC with rough estimates of what you want and the prices... Or go to a site that allows you to custom build a pc and post it here.

No flaming someones PC, everyone has there own idea's and what they want, make clean, nice comments (Or addtions/edits in case someone might have forgotten something).

Reasonable to change or moderation at anytime.

Come on now, if you are going that route at least give yourself a Saitek Eclipse or Logitech G15 keyboard.

As long as it's dream machine time, I'd go with a couple widescreen Apple monitors. That's like 4 websites side by side with room to spare.

3. Only one DVD drive

Dunno 'bout you, but I was disappointed!

At that sort of price, I'd expect Raid 0 with 150 gig 10,000 RPM SATA hard drives plus a big data storage drive; I'd expect at least two video cards...either SLI or Crossfire linked; 4 Gig of RAM; and a really big, high performance monitor.

Yeah, anything that's prebuilt is generally going to be a pretty crappy deal, especially as you get to the upper end of the spectrum where they are selling to rich people who don't know how computers work but want the fastest.

Re: Dream PC? Just maybe... (Unoffical Dream PC game)

It's all in the case, interior arrangement, and OCing. The case is GOLD and they hire feng shui/origami experts to arrange the interiors.

They also completely guarantee all the overclocking they do and have prob. the best cust. support.

Not to mention the absolute BLING of the case and merely owning a Voodoo.

It's a status symbol I guess in a way. As most status symbols are, they're a complete waste of money. BUT, the wealthy get to say they have one.

If you're not into the gold plated case, you could spend like 5g on one I guess... still a bit pricey, but hey.. it's voodoo.

Re: Dream PC? Just maybe... (Unoffical Dream PC game)

The case can't be solid gold. It alone would cost way more than $14 grand. Since it is so expensive, it's probably not painted. More likely, it's probably plated with something that looks like gold--maybe gold, but it's most certainly not solid gold.

I want my solid gold computer, not dinky gold plating!
