Heathkit Zenith H89 was the first machine I remember my father actually using as a functional professional tool.

After that it was a succession of 286s (including a 20 pound "portable" machine with a tiny monochrome screen up front), 386, 486, Pentiums, etc. My first personal machine was a rebuilt 386.
