Creative X-Fi on 2.1 speakers?

Has anyone here that uses a 2.1 speaker system upgraded from an Audigy to X-Fi? I'm curious if any performance/quality gains can be had with such a speaker setup or if you'll only notice a difference if you have a surround sound system?

There will be a difference. If you get the Fatal1ty, it has the 64mb XRAM. So that'll help out. There is also a feature for headphones. Plus the X-Fi's support more voices.

Just general info - I don't know the exact specs. My head is strained from researching every other computer part for my new system.

Also, X-RAM isn't widely utilized at the moment. Only a few games take advantage of X-RAM.
