Re: Teamspeak Question
This is only possible with mutliple soundcards.
A given soundcard can only output through one source, so all sounds for that card go out whatever is plugged in (your speakers or your headset). If you have multiple soundcards (including the "soundcard" that's detected with a USB headset) you can tell TeamSpeak which output device to use. At that point TeamSpeak will direct sounds out that card's output - while Windows continues to push system (and game) sounds out the "Default" windows card. |

Re: Teamspeak Question
Good deal.
I thought it might be nice to have teamspeak go through a headset while game sounds go though speakers. That way, voices can be heard over game sounds, teamspeak volume can be adjusted w/o alt-tab, and others won't get that feedback when I hold the talk key the same time as someone else.

Re: Teamspeak Question
A USB headset is the ideal solution to this. I have the Plantronics DSP-500 (now called the Audio 500, I think?), and am very pleased with it.

Re: Teamspeak Question
You're just going to have your game sounds going out over your normal sound card, while you'll set the Teamspeak output to your USB headphones. It really is that simple.

Re: Teamspeak Question
very simply just choose the inputs and outputs in TS to choose your USB headset and in game sounds will just come out of your speakers like normal. this is the setup i have, it's great.
