I can totally vouch for AVG. I installed it on one of my friend's computers that was overrun with viruses and trojans from p2ping (don't people know not to run .exe's?!). So I got it downloaded, installed, scanned the entire computer, found like 6,000 trojans/viruses, cleaned all of them, and no problems since
