Usb hard drive - Page 2

Ok, had a brief look. All i can se in BIOS is PNP/Pci configurations. This is all set to AUTO. No mention of USB 2.0 controller or the like.

Went out and purchased a usb hub....... No luck, still the same(freezes)

Not sure what could be the problem.

I can transfer files from the USB drive to say C drive no probs, but cannot do it vice versa!

I have no other problems, except the USB drive. every other thing i put in the USb drives of computer are fine.

Im gonna try a new power supply next week and see if that nught cure the problem. Tried most other things, so can't do any harm?

I will see how this other power supply goes and take it form there. Will keep you posted

I meant, have you tried another USB drive (just a plain one, no a bluetooth) ?

His drive is USB... the bluetooth dongle is for his phone and works properly.
