Cappy I had the exact same problem you are having and I believe it has to do with Realtek and the BF series voip. I tried updating bios and drivers but nothing helped my so I went and got a USB headset and have been golden ever since. I wish I could help you but there were no fixes when I had my issue

Yes, a USB headset will take the place of your sound card or onboard sound as its own sound device.
