Thats what I meant, you have other gaming companies having there own Modifications such as ATI making there processor, your going ot be stuck on what to choose? I want to play X game but I don't have the X processor from the X company.. /me shrugs

The problem with dual-cores, is they still use common CPU architectures, which are kind of lousy at physics math. GPUs are great for physics calculations, so I do see the dual GPU/physics engine as where things go.

All the reviews I have ever read are negative of these cards. They cause a considerable FPS hit for little gain. There's some videos out there of what happens in multiplayer situations where the pretty effects don't occur because one person doesn't have the card. In a nutshell if you only play single games, then you might enjoy the eyecandy. If you don't then you're just going to be video lagging for nothing.
