Mic Volume issues

I have a strange mic issue where I can't change the send volume on my mic in steam. I have it turned almost all the way down in windows, but my voice still comes in too loud in game. I can't turn off mic boost in windows or my voice comes in too quiet. It doesn't matter if I have mic boost on or off, the problem still happens. Also, I can change the recieve volume, or anything else for that matter. Just not the send volume.

If it matters, I'm using the karajan audio module on the lanparty ut rdx200 board, with the most recent realtek drivers.
