Now, maybe some of you guys can point me in the right direction? I'm looking for all I can get for around $600.

Re: I've narrowed it down.. (PC upgrade)
Have you decided anything yet? I can't tell what you're looking at because the links aren't working for me, but you can get good stuff for $600... I'm a few months out of the current news, but you should be thinking along the lines of intel 945 chipset mobo, 4k series core2duo, and 2 gig of decent 6400 ram or so. An Ati 1950pro gfx would finish it off nicely for games out now, but wouldn't be ready for the dx10...
I don't know if you oc, or what rig you are coming from, or how much experience you have, but you should be looking on places like XtremeSystems and such. If you really need the help, I can catch up tomorrow and make a list for you. I don't want to see a TGr make bad rig choices, right? |
