Re: Another V-Card Question

7900GS - http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...anufacture=XFX

X1950 Pro - http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...anufacture=HIS

Two choices for the highest end of AGP cards. I think the X1950 Pro is better. What's your price point?

Check NCIX.com or DirectCanada for online shopping. If you're outside of BC, you save on PST. It can help out on shipping costs.

Re: Another V-Card Question

I think either of those cards will play COD4, ArmA, and Bioshock. However, I don't really think they'll be playable unless you turn down all the settings. These are old cards now and are probably the last high end cards for AGP. Even the 7800GS was said to be the last nVidia AGP card but the 7900GS came out.

Re: Another V-Card Question

make sure the card you get has minimum of shader model 3.0 most of the newer games will require it. and DDR3 vid ram if you can, you'll get more bang for the buck for not much more money. I found these 2 that might fit the bill if price is not an issue...

if you have a largeish budget, go for the 8800 range, like the GS for example

Are those even out? Didn't even know they were making 8800's for AGP.
