Re: System On/Off Fluctuations, PSU or Parts?

It can't be that either, I don't put too much AS5 on, just enough to cover about 80% of the celeron top.

I'm going to lug this thing to a local computer shop. I'm out of ideas as to what the cause of the problem is.

Thanks to everyone that posted to help me solve this problem.

I'll post back with an update whenever the PC shop finds the root of the problem.

Re: System On/Off Fluctuations, PSU or Parts?

I recently had a similar problem with my mom's computer. After replacing the psu, Mobo, Cpu and ram it turned out that the problem was the just the power switch on the case.
If you have another case try mounting it in that and see if it works. I found a standard ATX switch for 5 bucks at a local computer store.

Hmm, well I'll try that ATX case switch thingy.

Got back from the shop, was told that it is likely a faulty CPU. I just swapped in my old P4, but now it won't even POST (black screen, HD in a constant spin).

I'll swap back in the old celeron later on and tear a switch from another case to see if it'll give me troubles. I'm too tired of dealing with this thing.

I give up. I'm just going to RMA the board for a refund and refund the PSU.

I'll just give my dad's system to my mom. I'll deal with his computer needs when he needs a computer.
