I guess specs may help some here.....
Intel C2D 4300 ASRock DUALCORE-VSTA 1 GB OCZ memory WD 160 GBB HDD ATI 9800 Pro AGP 128mb running Windows XP Headset is an old no name brand headset. So, yea, not Vista. Sorry.

Ok, then under XP...go to your Sounds and Audio Device option under your Control Panel or on your system tray.
Click on the Voice Tab then the Volume button under your mic....what's the level? If it's low, boost it up and then try it again in game or with the VOIP setup for BF2/2142 and see if that helps. If that doesn't work, then I'm out of suggestions for you at the moment. ![]()
