Re: TG Alliance (TGA)

oh, thats cool. I had though about suggesting having multiple alliances. Just based on the fact of how much each additional member cost, seems it would be better to run two or three alliance. Unsure of how the alliance will form treaties with other alliances, doesn't this also cost the leader diplo points? When splitting up into a couple of core alliances would probably be something to think about. Sure we will not be a top ten alliance, but we are more worried about tactics than scores here. Just a thought.

Re: TG Alliance (TGA)

The thing is...there is no real benefit for being in an alliance right now outside your network of members. This is where the strength of a consolidated TG comes into play. Once the Alliance benefits are implemented, we should benefit greatly because of our numbers. But right now, there's no pro's or con's other than sheer numbers at this point. So by breaking up into more groups we just break apart our greatest asset, which is our numbers and unity in numbers.

But to each their own!

Re: TG Alliance (TGA)

No, don't get me wrong, I wish everyone could be in the same alliance. It would be awesome to one of the top ten alliances or hell, the top alliance. Just wondering what it will cost to do that and then continue to increase diplo points for treaties.

Re: TG Alliance (TGA)

As the leader, I won't be able to establish Military Treaties, I could accept them (that only costs 2 or 4), but you guys can be cranking out Military Treaties all day if you want. They cost 11 dip points to offer. I'm hoping I start seeing some of our larger armies doing this, especially with the guys at the edge of the world.

Re: TG Alliance (TGA)

When deploying troops/navies while using the military treaties, what does this do to upkeep, double it? If so, it would still be very expensive to deploy 24+ hours away. I don't even have idea of what that would cost.

Double the upkeep, the same as if you are pillaging.

Also, the only benefit of breaking off in my view, is better communication. We have a harder time trying to find any of the little colony news we have over here, and to be honest your cluster of members doesn't concern us. We do want to hear the big news, wars and treaties and such, which I have talked to Atomic about.

Re: TG Alliance (TGA)

The only real benefit to fractioning off right now would be to free up diplomacy points for people who want to get into the TGA main alliance and give people who currently aren't in the main alliance an alliance tag.

Currently the only benefit to being in an alliance (you can't really call communications a benefit since we do it better here) is the TGA tag that denotes you are a member of a large and powerful group. That's about it. That TGA tag makes people doing random pillages think twice/three times before sending off their military and also gives a nice safety net for them to withdraw when a TGA member with a military score in the 100,000+ range comes knocking on their door with an offer they can't refuse.

There really is no real benefit to forming a faction when its so much better, and easier, to have one very large guild with a well known name posted on the charts. If anything a faction would best be served as a gateway guild as AD accumulates more diplomacy points to invite more people.

Re: TG Alliance (TGA)

Jeepo, to get in the TGA, you first have to create an embassy, then once you build the embassy, you go into it and do something like search alliance tag and then enter TGA and it should show Tactical Gamer Alliance and then you click on the shaking hands and wait for Atomic Dog to get you in.

Re: TG Alliance (TGA)

You need an embassy built. Then you can apply from there once you have it.
