TG Alliance (TGA)

I just wanted to find out how our alliance is going to be run. How much independence will one have to govern their own colonies? Just trying to get a feel for how this should play out. I'm new to this kind of game and alliance thing, so pardon my noobness.

Re: Ikariam - Alliance

Well, as of now I'm the supreme leader in the alliance (meaning I started it, I run it). I don't intend to place any restrictive rules on our members on how they will run their colonies, etc. I expect us to back each other up when under attack. To make priority trade agreements amongst our own, etc. But I'm not going to tell you how to run things.

There are 3 positions I can assign to others...and eventually I will do so. They are Secretary, Diplomat and General. Each have their own responsibilities in the governance of the alliance. If there ever becomes a need to place any restrictions on our members, it will be something we all discuss and agree upon openly.

Re: Ikariam - Alliance

Man this is becoming a fun game and a TG alliance will be very cool. I am researching and gathering materials as fast as I can to catch up. Hopefully at some point tomorrow I will be there.

Found out, the only problem with being a leader if the fact once you grant anyone those "positions" you loose the ability yourself. Which in my opinion, the one who started should always be able to have those abilities regardless. Hopefully a fix for this in the future.

Re: Ikariam - Alliance

Yeah, I've taken this into consideration. Those I appoint are those that I'm going to trust to keep me updated on EVERYTHING that goes on. The one position I may keep for myself is General.

Re: Ikariam - Alliance

Ooooo general sounds interesting being able to recall all troops of the whole Alliance at will is cool. Better that it is left with the top dog, seems strange the leader doesn't have much authority, or is this me not under standing his abilitys ?

Re: Ikariam - Alliance

Leader really doesn't have any ability at all. I placed a suggestion along the lines of what Undead saying at the Ikariam forums though.

Re: Ikariam - Alliance

Can you not relieve someone of their duty? That would pretty take care of someone not doing what was in the best interest of the alliance.

Re: Ikariam - Alliance

I need 13 marble and can finish my embassy. The only person trading in my area has it for 30g per piece which is a bit high I think. I have crystal to trade if anyone can spare it.

Once I finish that... where should I be going to colonize?
