Does anyone use Ikarium Plus?

If you do, is the better overview and such worth the money?

Overviews are not worth the money imo. I barely used it, it now has expired, and I don't care to renew it.

Re: Does anyone use Ikarium Plus?

The only thing that might tempt me would be the resource merchant to convert unwanted resources into what you want/need. However with such a large group with TGA is just so much easier to put up an ad for trade and get it that way.

The 'bonus resources' are only a good option if you own more than one colony on the resource in question else its a waste of cash.

I, also, wasn't too impressed with the 'improved control' that the upgraded advisers give you. A lot of those functions are a click away or provided by scripts.

I do fear for the future of Ikariam though. I took their new space based web game, Ogame, for a spin and what I saw frightened me. Basically the user interface was reduced to a glorified spreadsheet and to get a graphical overview like with Ikariam you have to shell out the cash for the adviser. Wonder how much fun Ikariam would be if it went the same way. Sure its still functionally playable, but its like doing stuff on excel.

Re: Does anyone use Ikarium Plus?

I actively play both Ikarium and Ogame, but haven't done the PLUS account on either. Thanks for the info.

Re: Does anyone use Ikarium Plus?

Catman posted some screenies of the premium overviews http://www.tacticalgamer.com/ikariam...-overview.html

I have purchased 100 ambrosia, but have only spent 3 so far to convert trade goods. It was very useful for getting my lvl 4 palace, I converted about 20,000 sulphur into marble to get the requirements. I plan on using the trade function every time I get at least 10000 sulfur or crystal -> marble.

Re: Does anyone use Ikarium Plus?

The excess resources are very nice if you have an island with a high resource output and you're trying to expand. For example, if you're already getting a base of 150 marble/hour out of your mine (which I believe would be a level 12 or 13 mine), the bonus 20 percent might be worth it (an extra 30 marble per hour) if you're trying to rapidly expand or beef up your colonies. Likewise with sulfur and building armies, crystal and researching, etc. The overviews are largely useless though.
