Can you relocate your troops?

I am starting to try and get a nice sized army going but I am pretty far away atm so operations cost a lot of gold. Is it possible to send troops to a colony for good?

Re: Can you relocate your troops?

I'm not 100% sure how you ment your question so I'm giving you both answers below.

You can just use the deploy troops option to send some units to one of your colonies.

There is no way in game at the moment to station your troops in someone elses colony without still having the double upkeep.

I think he means can you transfer troops around between your cities. The answer is no. You can deploy troops to a friendly colony, but not permanently and there is upkeep.

Re: Can you relocate your troops?

You only get the double upkeep during the travel times when your troops are outside of one of your cities. All troop upkeep is spread thru out your cities. It is not just applied to the city they are stationed.

Re: Can you relocate your troops?

Ill just build another army where I want them. Seems easier and costs a lot less.

FB lies.

Step 1: Select the Island of your target city
Step 2: Make sure the city of origin is selected in the drop down menu
Step 3: Select your target city
Step 4: Deploy Troops/Ships
Step 5: Profit

You can shift troops between cities quite easily but they will still have double upkeep on the journey time before they arrive and garrison the city you move them too and it returns to normal. Its sometimes much easier and faster to just build your army in several different places before assembling it at a rally point before an attack. This ensures that your citizen population isn't hit too hard by an over active military draft.
